Did you guys watch the Futurama movie yet? Beast with a Billon backs? I thought it was all right myself, though I’ve heard not everyone liked it. But then this is the internet.

Don’t let the movie thing fool you, this season is really being released as extra long direct to DVD episodes. Still, nothing wrong with that, eh?

Seems this one is going to be fantasy themed, LOTR parodies and the like. Looks good.

Oh, are you paying attention to the project wonderful ads up on top? These are run by actual human beings who see the site and want you guys to visit them, and bid for the slot. If they see no clicks they might drop their bids, and then I’d be sad. You wouldn’t like me when I’m sad. Hah, Hulk reference. No I haven’t seen it yet. But I did see this:

Obviously this is a repost, but for all I know it’s representative of Hyung’s current life. The more things change the more they stay the same, like the French say. I’m pretty sure he can’t afford a mortgage so he’s probably still bouncing from rental to rental. Funny thing about the housing bubble bursting, just when prices are starting to finally drop for houses you can’t get a loan or a mortgage to save your life because the banks all got cold feet. Ah well!

We have a new advertiser, project wonderful, please do pay some attention to the banner up on top of the page since it’s probably advertising something you’ll like, like a webcomic or (As of this writing) a zombie browser game.

I was pleasantly surprised to see someone using the slot so soon after putting it up, I expected the “your ad here” to stay there for weeks… The bid is only 3 cents per day, so it’s definitely affordable rates (Amusingly, even at only 3 cents per diem it’s almost more profitable than adsense. You guys keep clicking on all the wrong ads.)

Speaking of ads the amazon search box is back on the sidebar, since someone missed it. Now go buy some shit.

This wedding in China was taking place just at the moment the earthquake hit, and the wedding photographer took several snaps of the event and the aftermath, Pretty impressive stuff.

Last month I posted about the “manga bible” drawn by some guy in Britain - most of us remarked there was very little “manga” about it, so I was happy to find the real thing “let’s Bible” a crazed and irreverent take on biblical matters from a couple of Korean authors publishing in Japan. Vulcan Markovic, a designer clothes and sex obsessed Croatian teen comes across a beautiful half naked woman who is looking for the “path to heaven”, she of course is the “son of god” but for Vulcan she’s a golden chance to lose his virginity, and so he spends the next 2 issues of this miniseries fighting demons and trying to get into Iesu-sama’s nonexistent pants.

Now that’s more like what I expect of a “manga bible”.

Jet Man - a Swiss dude decided to strap some jet powered wings on his back and take to the skies. This man is a professional (Airline and ex fighter jet pilot) so don’t try this at home, kids!

Pity Dave Stevens, the creator of Rocketeer died a few months ago, he sure would’ve liked to see a real life rocketeer flying through the skies.

Flipside is a manga style story about a female jester in a dangerous fantasy world. The titular character is somewhat nuts, but that just adds interest, methinks.

The who girl, this is slightly reminiscent of Tank Girl on the surface, but the story is less anarchic, having some actual plot and objective to it.

And finally Tang’s comics are back! Tang has been around for ages and re-reading his archives I found some guest strips by Hyung here and a guest appearance by chen here. Historical!
