When the hell is Kwanzaa supposed to be, anyway? It’s Christmasy, but not on the same day, is it? I confess my ignorance.

Rememeber that Thrilllist free mailing list thingie I was running ads for a while? They occasionally come up with interesting stuff, like additives to put on your dog’s food that’ll make him stop eating his own poop. They also informed me of the existence of Chickipedia for which I can’t thank them enough.

I heard from my co-worker that dolphins are trained to jump through hoops by placing a pole horizontally through their pool. And every time the dolphin swims above the pole and not below it, the dolphin gets a fish. And the pole is raised closer to the surface, to be replaced by a hoop later on. Don’t know if there’s any truth to this, but my only other dolphin-topic is that special page. And come to think of it, I don’t know if there’s any truth to that one either. Still funny though.

What I find interesting is that this is the dolphins playing on their own time. The taking of a smaller loop out of the larger one seems to be particularly sophisticated behavior to me.

The short answer, as i come to understand it, is it’s meant to be a black Thanksgiving that’s held at Christmas to show that they are, obviously, too black to recieve gifts from a fat white man. So, basicly an excuse to proclaim blackness without rioting, which is stupid in and of itself.

I meant the whole ‘GENETIC CODE PRIDE’ deal, actually, but Kawanzaa is about as useless as most other attempts at forcing equality so i guess it’s all moot.

Other than that, i guess Hitler’s birthday is as good a time as any. Not that it’d be any less retarded than Kawanzaa, but hey.
