Mi Sung represent
Hey it’s Mi Sung, remember her? She used to be popular.

ganked from sky news:

A 400-year-old book covered in a sheet of wrinkled human skin is going under the hammer in a bizarre auction.

Can you see a ghostly face?

Can you see a ghostly face?

It is thought the skin was cut from the corpse of one of Guy Fawkes’ fellow conspirators in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

And if you hold the novel in the right light, you might even see a ghostly face on the cover, it is claimed.

Called “A True And Perfect Relation Of The Whole Proceedings Against The Late Most Barbarous Traitors, Garnet A Jesuit And His Confederates” it tells of the grisly end met by the Gunpowder Plotters.

Man this news item has it all, a book bound in human skin like the necronomicon from Evil Dead, one of Guy Fawkes pals like in V from Vendetta…

Speaking of which, Zack Snyder, the guy who did 300 is filming Watchmen! Everyone is convinced he’s going to make a hames of it but at least the production shots look pretty nice and true to the book. One thing that guy proved was being able to match shots to panels.

I don’t expect Alan Moore to like it though, but at least he has a sense of humor about it nowadays (Anyone catch his cameo in the simpsons recently? I’d link the youtube clip but it got removed).

Also Harvard’s library also has a handful of human skin books. Apparently it’s not unheard of.

Yeah, I caught it, it was awesome. Simpsons, however, has been a mess for how many seasons, now? There was an episode where Homer did opera. OPERA. HOMER. NO WORKY TOGETHER, SEE? 3rd season Bart would’ve committed suicide if he could’ve forseen his 18th season self.

When is that 400 year old book going on auction?

The well for Simpsons ideas ran dry years ago. They drilled deeper into the well for more, but ended up getting shitty, over-mineraled water. Then THAT dried up, and they carried water from the near-by stream. Once that got to the point there they were mostly scraping mud, they resorted to pissing in the bucket and calling it drinkable water. This is where the Simpsons currently stands.

Mi Sung was just got converted to Idgie. She’s still popular, but in different (dirty old perverted men) circles.

There’s a museum in Japan that features the most intricate, well done irizumi (full back tattoo) art by some of the most well known masters of the art… thing is, the art is still on the skin of the people who had the art rendered… they agreed to be skinned when they died and have their art displayed there.
