Wednesday, July 11th, 2007 by NestorMight as well continue the retro 80s cartoon kick. They made another movie of this recently didn’t they? I missed it completely.
I did go watch transformers a few days ago… it was kinda fun. I was hardly expecting citizen Kane after all.
Oh yeah, someone preordered the new Harry Potter book through the site, so here’s the helpful linkie
Interesting linkage:
Sound Mirrors, weird and wonderful WWI airplane location tech. Very steampunk!
Khodansha to publish megatokyo in Japan. Well, I guess it’s official, Fred’s made it.
Jaws contact lenses, for when you absolutely have to look like the Corinthian from Sandman

Old school Turtles rock, I loved that comic. Wish the marketing for that franchise would switch back to its original, mature audience. You know, 14 and up. =P After reading the first issue I was hooked. Do they go out to get pizza? No. What do they go out to do? Kill the Shredder. What’s that you say Tuna, kill him? That’s right. FUCKING KILL HIM. Not teach him a lesson. Not give him a good trashing. Kill his ass. That’s right folks; this is Teen Age Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not f’n Teen Age Care Bear Happy Cuddle Time Turtles (also, not to be confused with Adolescent Radioactive Black belt Hamsters). Their NINJAS! Great tribute to Eastman and Laird’s TMNT.

Citizen Kane is the most overrated movie ever. FACT.

Citizen Kane= Shorthand for “big important movie”. I dunno, what would you have of me, the seventh seal? Casablanca? The Russian Solaris? Apocalypse now? 2001? All overrated as far as someone is concerned…

Nah, that third Matrix movie was the most over-rated movie evar. Especially because the ending sucked balls, but the whole ‘his power extends BEYOND the matrix’ load of shit ranks up there, too. Almost as bad as midi-chlorians.

Hardly, everyone I know says it’s a crappy movie, to the point that I never even watched it, even when it was on cable at my folks place. Something is only overrated if a lot of people say it’s good

I’d have to go with Nestor here. If you see Matrix Revolutions for sale, it’s in the severely discounted $1.99 stack. Generally speaking, most people rate the Matrix series as:
Matrix- pretty darn good!
Reloaded- eh, OK
Revolutions- rectal suckage
It’s hard to over-rate rectal suckage.

Perhaps i should say either over-hyped or expectation-dissapointing, then.
