Future Plans?
Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 by KrazykimchiI’ll finish the comic starting Monday… after that, who knows.
Nestor say put in interesting links, for blogs and all:
The Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency
This American Life - Radio Favorites
Oh, Nestor, I’ll let you insert content related Amazon ad and junk here.
Hm, anyone need a new cellphone plan?
Also, here’s the previous pic of teen Idgie and Nell, she’s not missing anything there. Then again here you said it was going to be Idgie who was an amputee, make up your mind!

Coyote Ragtime is an anime series that is chock full of robot killer maids, if that’s the sort of thing you like. It desperately wants to be another cowboy bebop, but it doesn’t make it by a stretch.

Ohhh, it’s new! I can tell by the date!
I can also see why a little kid detective would need her nanny to come along, but why would a grown woman need one? Oh, the “lesbian undercurrent”. I see. Will Nell’s mechanical hand have gadgets that may or may not be set to “vibrate”?
June 24th, 2007 at 1:24 am
Think she’d still be a minor, 16 or 17– also Nell’s like Watson, an assistant?

ZOMG! New Stuff!!!
Hang out at irc at #fanclub irc.freenode.org or
telnet nammyung.dyndns.org 4201 or
http://nammyung.dyndns.org/telnet
Sorry I missed the folks who dropped by yesterday — as more people come and hang out, it should become a more lively place. I’ll put in some bots to entertain. And come to the forum, too, and the imageboard! (This is what happens when you have a bunch of fans with nothing to do but wait for new stuff!)
June 24th, 2007 at 2:30 am
And Shishio over at One-liners offers $25 per page for someone to draw his “all-ages paranormal action comic”. Just in case someone might be interested.
June 24th, 2007 at 2:38 am
Lesbian undercurrents are a bit creepy when it’s someone you grew up with, don’t you think? Then again I know little about lesbians, maybe they’re all creepy like that.
This dude is looking for an artist for his comic, but he only pays 25 bucks per page. Probably a better pagerate than drawing pages for here though…
Unless people vote and buy stuff through the amazon links!! Get to it!
June 24th, 2007 at 3:04 am
And in all fairness, Watson was a doctor. Back in the day when being a doctor meant something. When doctors would get free haircuts, and mothers would try to marry off their daughters to them. (Or so I heard on an episode of Scrubs. It’s practically a humorous documentary, right?) To compare a doctor to a nanny, well… tsk tsk tsk.
But I guess it’s ok if Idgie’s still a minor. Which I suppose is also a guarantee that the undercurrent will remain an undercurrent. Or perhaps she’ll have a very special 18th birthday? Perhaps Nell will then open the false bottom of the suitcase, and reveal a hidden compartment full of goodies for grownups? You see what thoughts you put in my head?
I’d miss Idgie the Kid though. Because she’s hilarious.
June 24th, 2007 at 5:18 am
Think of Nell as a sentient bipedal pack-mule. See that big skirt? Full of firearms.
June 24th, 2007 at 7:45 am
omfg, new art!!! It must’ve been months, years ago!
I only check this site because:
1. I R tard.

More like supporting character…
June 24th, 2007 at 10:52 am
“Lesbian undercurrent” thing is a joke, morons.
(As you know, my longstanding hatred of fags and dykes would prohibit me from drawing anything like that. And Albanians, I fucking hate them!)
June 24th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
y’know there’s some serious jinx/ curse thing going on here, ’cause my computer is dying the death.
And such a funny joke it is! You want I should find y’all some links to some Holmes/ Watson Slash fic?
June 24th, 2007 at 12:48 pm
New content?! And in the steam punk style?! What fresh Hell is this?!!
June 24th, 2007 at 3:00 pm
You know, I think HSK has a thing for one eyed chicks. This is, what, the 3rd time he has drawn a character with an eye patch, including himself? I think its unhealthy, I’d hate to get a look inside his porn folder.
Also, does anyone else feel that this pic bares a more then passing resemblance to Milly Thompson and Meryl Stryfe?
June 24th, 2007 at 3:35 pm
Trigun is too new for me to have been affected by, but way too old of a reference… lets try a series that’s a bit fresher then ‘95.
I suppose it does have a similar dynamic, a short energetic one and the straight (wo)man.
I would’ve enjoyed that show more if it was more about them then the walking veggie morality play.
As for the patch, just one word:
Skullfucking.
June 24th, 2007 at 3:41 pm
Heheh, yeah don’t forget the skullfucking.
Just noticed, Idgie has trigger disciplne!
June 25th, 2007 at 12:37 am
Hmm random thought.
Idea for a webcomic, based on Hyung’s style.
Pitch ‘n’ Bitch.
Half Journal comic, Half pitches for new ideas.
So a fortnight of character designs, plot out lines, a few out of sequence pages, before the next idea takes hold.
June 25th, 2007 at 2:31 am
I think we’ve done that already, actually.
June 25th, 2007 at 8:22 am
Hey Hyung! Do a serious drama version of FLCL or Excel Saga, your pick. I’m sure skullfucking can be worked in as a plot device.
June 25th, 2007 at 10:06 am
What would be the point of that? Anyway Excel already had a serious episode, and I think the flcl manga is more serious, not that I’ve read it.
June 25th, 2007 at 11:13 am
Don’t ask me, he asked for stuff more recent than 95. Also, yes, Excel has some (a tiny bit of) serious and the FLCL manga is much less off the wall than the anime but I wouldn’t call any of them “serious drama”. Oh and I don’t mean serious drama as in serious drama, more serious drama as in krazy kimchi.
June 25th, 2007 at 11:39 am
I didn’t think of Coyote Ragtime Show as wanting to be Cowboy Bebop. Too many characters for that, and too much focus on the main storyline. And it looked too polished for a serious attempt.
And I knew the lesbian undercurrent thing was a joke. What am I, a moron?
And I wasn’t serious about that “grown woman can’t have a maid sidekick”-thing either. I mean, Bruce Wayne has Alfred, right? Sure, Alfred has a whole mansion to tend to, but I’m sure that Idgie is even harder to take care of than a whole mansion. Like that time she shot out Nell’s right eye with her first gun. It was an accident! It was not just so that she could get her nanny a camera eye for taking stealthpictures of crime scenes. Idgie wouldn’t be that cold. Shame on me for even suggesting such a thing.
June 25th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
Coyote Ragtime Show:
Take Cowboy Bebop, strip away all the (mostly unneeded) story and character development, add in heavily-armed-robo-maids, and provide at least one action sequence per episode. A splash of awesome, a sprinkle of ‘who the fuck cares about plausibility, we’re going to make them ride a giant fucking spinning-bank-vault-thing!’, and you get win. Also, Mister has Batou’s voice (don’t listen to the dub, it’s baaaaaaad. Makes him just sound like an asshole).
June 25th, 2007 at 3:45 pm
If you want references to semi-serious skull fucking check out (plug, plug) Adam Warren’s Empowered. Love the mans work, anyway hes got a villain that is living white phosphoruses that skullfucks some people to death because they tried to steal some of his shit. Overall its a pretty funny American style manga, if you like his Dirty Pair work you’ll like Empowered
June 25th, 2007 at 4:21 pm
Yeah and you can totally buy it through amazon. Just click on the coyote ragtime link to set the referral, and take out your credit card! Buy coyote ragtime too while you’re at it, since EdZ likes it so much!
Also, you can buy groceries through amazon too, why not add them to your shopping cart? There’s no reason to leave home with amazon. AMAZON AMAZON
June 25th, 2007 at 11:09 pm
What’s all this, then!?
June 26th, 2007 at 9:02 am
Ye gods man, these are the internets! Nobody buys things anymore!
June 26th, 2007 at 11:24 am
SOMEONE bought almost 2k worth of software through our referral link at the start of the month, unfortunately we’ve not had a single referral since. But if the ads had that kind of performance regularly, this horse show would be a go.
So uh, click on the vote buttons, tell your friends, digg this.
June 26th, 2007 at 12:28 pm
And now for something completely different.

(Yeah, you /know/ you know that one)
June 27th, 2007 at 5:13 am
Byewbs. Now.
June 27th, 2007 at 12:47 pm
How is the suitcase being held up if she’s missing a hand? Could a prosthetic hand bear the weight of the suitcase and its contents?
June 27th, 2007 at 7:32 pm
Prosthetic? Try bionic! Now thats the stuff!
June 28th, 2007 at 12:46 pm
I got the distinct impression that it was her right hand that went missing and was replaced with a mechanical hand. So her left hand, her natural hand, would be the one holding the suitcase. And during the years she’s grown muscles like only a henchwoman could.
June 28th, 2007 at 7:00 pm
>Pitch ānā Bitch.
Sean Howard already has this down, but with game ideas. All sorts of random shit he’ll come up with and never create, but i know if someone else decides to make a game from one of his ideas, he’ll demand large amounts creative control/credit for coming up with the idea in the first place, as he’s an egotistical fuckface.
Actually, Nell reminds me of Norman from Big O: older care-taker/assistant with an eye-patch. All i need now is to have her use some horribly huge machine gun and be some kind of mecha mechanic, and the blatent rip-off will be complete. Of course, the mechanical hand also reminds me of Luke Skywalker, so maybe she’ll be a jedi master. An attachable chiansaw is fine, too.
As far as eye patches on females go, i think they’re hot. Not too sure why, but females with battle wounds seem a little hotter. Beatrix from FF9, Wyna from Thousand Arms, that busty blonde pirate chick from Marvel vs. Capcom who’s name i don’t know and haven’t found from a lesser search through Wikipedia, and pretty much every other non-specific female with an eyepatch i’ve found while searching through the intarwebs. Baiken, too, even though she doesn’t actually wear an eye patch.
Really, though, i’m not thrilled about the idea of you starting anything new with so much unfinished crap on your plate. It’s like eating half a pizza and then letting it rot while you order up chinese, which will then be half-devoured and left for an ordering of mexican.
June 29th, 2007 at 12:21 am
…
Damn, now I’m hungry.
June 29th, 2007 at 8:41 am
I can’t blame Hyung for getting tired of stuff and wanting to do something new or different. I never finish anything either nowadays. It’s the internet, you see. It distracts and diverts attention that could otherwise be properly focused on a single activity that could yield a worthwhile result. A result that one could show people on the internet in order to distract them from their own creative endeavors.
June 29th, 2007 at 10:09 am
Hm. I guess we forgot to pin him down on which Monday he was refering to.
June 29th, 2007 at 10:17 am
I’d rather not have Hyung settle for being like every other half-assed idiot who never completes anything. Shit, even Josh Lesnick, who cut short Wendy and everything he tried before that, actually half-assed a plot to Cute Wendy after so many stand-alone joke comics and humorous arcs, and made an ending of it all. And i’d certainly like to think Hyung’s better than Lesnick, a guy who can’t NOT have lesbians of some varience as the main characters.
Now that i think about it in that light, though, this new story idea doesn’t really fill me with hope.
July 2nd, 2007 at 5:53 pm
MONDAY!!!!
July 3rd, 2007 at 11:10 pm
GULLIBLE!!!!!
July 4th, 2007 at 4:14 am
But I believed him!
Ah well, now to depart and cry into my pillow.
July 4th, 2007 at 6:13 am
I did too!
Ah well. Reposts again? Glendale? Starting next monday? Or the remaining krazykimchis. Choices, choices.
July 4th, 2007 at 8:27 am
Dangit, I want my Kung Fool!
July 4th, 2007 at 10:11 am
Oh, was that what “MONDAY” was about? I had already forgotten his empty promise. I mean, his unfulfilled plan. Unless he began drawing the rest of the comic on Monday, and just haven’t finished a page yet. “It’s just a little slimy, it’s still good.”
July 4th, 2007 at 11:37 am
I vote for Kimchi. It’s more easily interupted if HSK does return.
July 4th, 2007 at 9:35 pm
I second the motion for Kimchi. Better to have stand-alone jokes that held no specific promise of indefinite continuation than another attempt at a storyline that gets cut short when Hyung’s ADD acts up.
Also, can you get that one episode/screenplay he did ages ago? It’d be nice to see his only effectively complete project to date again.
July 5th, 2007 at 4:11 pm
Screenplay of what? Give me some more clues man.
July 5th, 2007 at 10:27 pm
“The Care-Free Gentleman”
July 6th, 2007 at 5:11 pm
I can’t remember the title (althoguh i think Dave has it nailed) let alone the exact plot, but it was essentially Kung Fool v.1. Hyung had drawn a full storyboard for a TV episode of a guy visiting a chinese manor (could of just been a large house) and recalling the tale of what i think was his uncle, who had experience with and/or had the profession of ghost hunter. To wit, within the tale he pacifies a female ghost that he’s confronted with, while expounding on his technique the whole way through.
Additionally, May is a young servant within this manor/house, as is mentioned/refered to in Crazy Kimchi #0002.
