Realism? Isn’t that the second sword that breaks in this fight? That’s not realism, that’s a travesty! Are we supposed to laugh?

It breaks after hitting the edge of the panel, panels are indestructible.

Sabers break. Sabers break all the frickin’ time, especially if you try to go clear through someone’s spine with one.

Pfft, swords NEVER break, unless they’re struck against other swords with massive force, or other sword-like objects that aren’t some kind of armor or background item. I CALL SHENANIGANS!

If you make a shitty sword it will break, I don’t see a cult having top of the line equipment. Probably using steel thats to hard so it holds and edge better and looks pretty but cracks if struck hard enough. Thats why people were so impressed with traditional Japanese swords for so long: they had a hard face to keep a sharp edge and a soft back so you wouldn’t break the sword if you hit something hard. It might also be that is gets really fucking cold there (where is it anyway? I know theres fuckton of snow out…) and it weakened the metal over time.

I really don’t think the mansion was ever set in any specific location, but if i had to guess i’d say somewhere in north-east America, in northern New York or maybe somewhere higher. Maybe Canada.
You do have a point, though; odds are the sabers are more for show than battle. Although, considering that some members had actual guns as opposed to decorative guns, it’s hard to really say.

Yeah, but they are side arms, not real combat weapons. Hell even the US Army gives its ceremonial soldiers M1 Garands, not 9mm pistols; they got no stopping power or range. Sure it fits under the smocks and is cheap but I wouldnt outfit an army with it, even a small, private one.

Well done, sir.
