Hey, I was busy reading through the archives. And to think that I was tricked into thinking that it was Hyung posting these days and not his clever hand puppet. But how can that be? Has the puppet cut the hand off in order to retain mobility while achieving independence? No wonder Hyung doesn’t draw more comics!
I’ll go hit the vote bookmarks now. Traffic must go up, because I’m not installing Firefox over Opera. And my next purchase from Amazon.co.uk is already pledged (in my mind) to another site. And silly t-shirts? Come on.
I liked the Aeon Flux ad from tfaw.com though. But the shipping from the far away barbarian lands is more than the comics themselves would cost, and I don’t like Aeon Flux that much. Especially not the serious Aeon Flux. I liked the first one, who kicked ass and shot down an army of goons, only to die from an accident near her goal. Wasn’t so much fun in the later episodes though, when she seemed to screw up all the time.
I know, people are going around writing blog posts saying Hyung is posting regularly which leads me to believe people just don’t have much reading comprehension. I guess I could put in some sort of Avatar to make my posts immediately distinguishable, but it’s not like I’m trying to actively impersonate him.
As for the support stuff, we only get commissions from amazon.com, and you don’t actually have to use firefox just install the damn thing and then let it sleep :)
More traffic is the main objective though anything you can do in that regard will help a lot.
Do something nerdy internet addicts will find interesting. Then put up links on digg and slashdot. Your server may go down for a few hours, but you’ll climb up on search engine rankings if you manage to get dugg. I dunno if your web hosting would like that sort of thing, though.
I seem to remember a lot of what would Simpsons characters look like as such-and-such cast on Digg. I guess there’s not much you can do to get on slashdot unless you write a piece of tech news.
Or do some Bush-bashing comic that caters to liberals, submit that to Digg. Or liberal-bashing comic. Either would work, as long as you take a side and make fun of the other.
