I can’t say I can speak for Hyung, but I think his attitude is “a person’s web site is his castle”, so he’s free to write from the heart. Sure, he could be nicer about it, but I think he feels that on his own web page (that he creates for little or no compensation) he has the right to do exactly as he pleases, and if people don’t like it, then they can go jump.
Sometimes Hyung gets a bit aggro, but that’s part of the charm of this place. If everyone tried not to be offended or take things personally then it would be easier. Then again, sometimes I think Hyung goes out of his way to shitstir….

Y’know what Futer, there’s a reason why we don’t mind Hyong’s insults and sourly mood now and then and that’s because he delivers.
There are SO many internet webcomics that are already dead but just won’t admit it and succumbs to one update every half year, promising that it will take off Real Soon ™ .. yeah sure.
Hyong however happens to deliver, and at high quality as well.
He works his ass off.
So he gets fans.

And with all this he gains experience and becomes better and makes better art (he mentioned somewhere that he can actually draw, what a shocking admission from a web artist) which earns him more fans.
Now - When he put up that comic I’m pretty sure that he KNEW that there would be several dipshits standing on line calling him asshat as soon as it was up, because there are just so many homophobes.
Yet, as Eminem said in his recent movie “How can 6 dicks be pussies ?” referring to some bozo’s the movie’s main character had a quarrel with. Obviously because they were all words and no action, just a bunch of sycophants following some mishappen leader, showing off a flashy outlook with no content.

God, Ghastly should NOT illustrate a guide to gay sex, unless his point would be to ruin my enjoyment of gay porn forever. Call me crazy, but I’m of the opinion that in a visual medium, what is produced should be aesthetically pleasing to some extent. Ghastly’s art makes me want to gouge my eyes out from the scalding pain it produces. It’s like a migraine, but worse.
