The character Haruhi in the anime “Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” does something like this at the start of the series, changes her hairstyle every day. Of course if you do it now people will think you based it on her.

Anyhow, here are the original comments:

    —————–

    Is it realistic?
nope, but fortunately you can just shrug and apply ‘cartoon physics’
How would she afford a different uniform every day?
How big is this girl’s closet?
Can she sew or does she keep a seamstress prisioner?

And…how many 55-gallon drums of ‘kawaii’ does she have to import daily!?!? (*throws up on HS’ uncool shoes*)

Attention is good (for some people)

What I meant was you used the improbablity of it to make weird stuff, I guess.

You know what would make this comic really cool? Doctor Who. Yeah, that would be really cool.

I like the uniform idea. Very cool.
I miss her blue hair….but she looks very cute in brown.

Wait…..you killed off Mi Sung?! I knew she had hit that pole and all..but you KILLED HER!?

What the hell did ya go and do that for?!

    *sniff* Mi Sung was cool…

    Mi Sung was an overachiever?

Well, you could say that she’s making a statement on today’s society, where “being different” now entails conforming to the stereotypes of anti-conformist groups.

Also, I wore costumes every day to high school. Seriously…although most weren’t costumes and how I still really dress, but everyone called them that for some reason. I chose and wore the most bright, hideous and obnoxious combinations of clothes in the hopes that they would be so ugly no one else would ever consider wearing them. The funny thing is? Some of it caught on at my school…arrrrgh.

I freely admit I am an attention whore. It gives me a thrill to see people stop on the street and stare.

So…Mi Sung is jailbait, now. She doesn’t even have blue hair. You bastard!

The more I think about it the better I like the idea. Doctor Who goes undercover in an American high school, probably as an agent for the DEA. Esoteric British science fiction character meets psychotic high school chica. Hilarity ensues.

Is it just me, or did the Daleks look like evil cans of shaving cream?

    Benares | Email | Homepage | 06.15.03 - 2:11 pm | #

Sort of, except the evil cans of shaving cream that stalk my opium-induced dreams can all use stairs.

As long as the skirts are short..

It’s a brilliant idea. Usually, anime artists begin tugging at threads (ho ho ho) when they have to create characters, owing as how the facial features can get quite generic, it’s up to the costume of the character to sell its personality.

But what kind of person actually enjoys wearing school uniforms? An attention-getter, for sure… Mostly from old men and horny teenagers. But then, is there any other kind?

“A different one every day or week”.
H-Kuns secret school uniform fetish is finally showing its true colors

There is such a thing as too much fan service, seriously!

Here is Australia, even the public school kids have to wear a uniform. I’ve not been to school since I graduated in 1993, but I believe it’s still the same.

Fun Foreign Fact #897! Collect them all!

Of course I meant to say “Here IN Australia” not “Here IS Australia”.

    I mean, I’m pretty sure we’re still here…

Actually, we annexed Australia about 20 years ago and made it one of the Crown Colonies of Singapore. Australian women make fine slaves.

    Dominic | Email | Homepage | 06.15.03 - 7:08 pm | #

I used to wear my cocaine t-shirt most every day to school, none of us had to wear uniforms. Maybe you should check around before saying everyone at every school in Australia wears uniforms.

Dominic, considering how much SingTel owns of the Aussie telecoms market, its becoming true…

    Idolo | Email | Homepage | 06.15.03 - 9:45 pm | #

Okay, well, let me rephrase my comment - most non-special schools in NSW required a uniform. You’re right, there would have been exceptions, and maybe things are different now, but as far as I knew, only the kids that couldn’t cope with regular schools and needed to go to a different institution had no uniform requirements.

Dominic, I thought women with any kind of spirit and backbone were frowned upon in Asian countries? (Stereotypes are FUN!)

I wonder if Cave Fish is related to Electric Jesus. Both have a catch phrase they repeat daily. hmmmm *ponders*

But whom amongst EJ and CF is the Original Kodachi? The real deal? The bucket of chilli?

And on a realted note to the Wet one’s topic: FF#898, samewise in Mex. Uniform in most highschools both private and public.
